Safeguards
From the first sentence, the caller knows they are talking to the practice's AI assistant and that the exchange is transcribed.
In every mode, the caller hears that in a medical emergency they must hang up and dial 15 or 112. This sentence cannot be removed.
She gives no medical advice and does not read the content of a patient record.
An appointment is booked, moved or cancelled only after the caller's “yes”. If she cannot identify them, she takes a message.
Messages and conversations are kept as text; no audio recording is kept.
A call with the AI secretary lasts 10 minutes at most: your line is never tied up by an endless conversation.

Common questions
Yes. Markus assigns you a French number and you forward your line to it: your phone rings normally, and the call goes to Markus if you don't pick up. You can also forward it when you are already on a call or when your phone is off, or give the Markus number directly to your patients.
The voicemail reads your greeting and takes a message, which you receive in writing. The AI secretary answers out loud: she informs the caller, offers your slots and manages appointments, within what you allow her to do. You switch modes in the settings.
In every mode, the caller hears that in a medical emergency they must hang up and dial 15 or 112. If an emergency is mentioned during the call, it is flagged “Emergency mentioned” in Markus. The AI secretary never gives medical advice.
By the number they call from, their name and, if needed, their date of birth. If she cannot identify them with certainty, she does not touch any existing appointment: she takes a message.
You decide. With the “Also accept new patients” option, a file is created in their name and the appointment is booked. Without it, the AI secretary offers to take a message for you.
No. Only the text of the message or conversation is kept, so you can read it again. No audio recording is kept.
Only conversations with the AI secretary count against your 150-minute plan; messages taken by the voicemail do not. Once the plan is used up, the following calls are taken by the voicemail until it renews: nothing extra is billed. If you need more minutes, two AI secretary add-ons go on top of the Pro tier: ×2 (300 minutes, +35€ a month) and ×5 (750 minutes, +129€ a month). Moving up applies straight away, moving down or removing an add-on at the end of the period already paid for.
No. Markus Secrétariat can be taken on its own or on top of a Markus plan. Either way, the Markus schedule and the patient files are included, from the Basic tier and during the trial: that is where the AI secretary books appointments. If you subscribe to Markus Assistant or Markus Consultation, monthly or yearly, you pay the Markus subscriber price for Markus Secrétariat: 30,20€ for Basic and 50,20€ for Pro a month, or 25€ a month, billed 300€ a year for Basic yearly. It is applied automatically in the app once your Markus subscription is paid for (not during its free trial); it does not apply to the kept number or to the AI secretary add-ons.
The number Markus assigned you is kept for 7 days after you stop. Beyond that, you can keep it for 3€ a month, with no calls taken: you get it back as it was if you take a tier again.
The trial lasts 14 days, with no credit card, and includes 30 minutes of AI secretary. In the app, you enter the phone you will call from, then you call the Markus test line: your own secretary answers, in Voicemail or AI secretary mode, with your settings and your schedule. The trial is for you to hear her yourself and comes with no number: your Markus number is assigned when you choose a tier, and that is when you forward your line to it.
Yes for the Basic tier: 28€ a month, billed 336€ a year, a 16% saving, and 25€ a month, billed 300€ a year at the Markus subscriber price. The Pro tier and the AI secretary add-ons are paid monthly, with no commitment. You move from yearly to monthly at the end of the year paid for; moving to yearly, or from Basic yearly to Pro, applies straight away.
